Hey hey!
I'm Carolina

But you can call me Carol :) — I'm a colorist, doc filmmaker, social media copywriter and visual designer with a soft spot for bold stories, beautiful frames, and a well-organized project.

Whether I’m grading, designing, shooting, writing or directing, I’m all about making things that feel.

Born and raised in Brasil, currently based in Toronto, and happy to collaborate wherever there’s Wi-Fi and creative energy.

Creative Inquiry

My journey through film and digital media has been shaped by a deep curiosity about how we tell stories—how we document, reconstruct, and reimagine personal and collective experience.

My research and creative work often explore themes of identity, transition, and emotional memory, with a focus on visually-driven narratives that sit at the intersection of the intimate and the universal.

I’m especially drawn to hybrid and poetic approaches to documentary, where form becomes as expressive as content. For me, filmmaking is both an artistic and reflective process—one that invites empathy, challenges perception, and creates space for complexity.

Autotheory at work:

Reflections on the documentary film This is a Story about Self-Love (and Boobs)

Just a resume. With my work experience.

A critical examination of the objectification of women and body image issues in Brazil through the frameworks of autoethnography, autotheory, phenomenology, and objectification theory. Drawing from personal experience portrayed in the 20-minute accompanying documentary, it explores how societal beauty standards shape women’s self-perception and emotional well-being.
